I’m a huge fan of Thomas Keller and I’ve never even had his food.
But he does feature prominently on my bucket list. One day, before I die, food from The French Laundry, Bouchon Bakery and Per Se will cross my lips. Any time is acceptable, but preferrably it will be during a fabulous whirlwind food tour.
A food tour isn’t on my bucket list because it’s relatively unreasonable, but a girl can dream.
Trevor and I got pre-approved for a mortgage.
I’m kinda freaked out.
This isn’t my first time around the mortgage block. I currently have one, funding my tiny condo that I can’t seem to wait to get out of for a real house with a gourmet kitchen and a fenced in yard..
But I’m still kinda freaked out.
I’m really good at shopping. But shopping is awesome, so it’s super easy to be good at.
It’s also super easy to be too good at.
I found this recipe for Truffle Cookies on MarthaStewart.com and immediately bought $60 worth of chocolate on Amazon.com (oh crap it’s only $50 now… sadface..).
In my defense… it was for 64oz. of chocolate and it was all really, really, delicious chocolate.
And it was… y’know.. chocolate. I feel that’s good enough justification.
I’m not big on the Superbowl.
I have nothing against it, I’m just not super into football. It’s probably my Canadianess and my inability to understand any co-ordinated activity.
However, with big American events come big American food.
Food that is often ooey, gooey and terrible for you.
I love that kind of food.
